The creation of economic value and social value are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Philanthropists have given their support to worth while organizations for many years. Learn about a new type of philanthropy that involves investing in social or environmental impact companies that promise to grow, have great impact, and return funds to philanthropic investors who can re-invest the funds in an "evergreen" fashion to continue making even greater impacts locally and around the world.

RVC has traditionally separated the impact investing world from non-profits.  This year we're turning the tables on that position and we're looking at how impact companies may partner with non-profits to leverage the missions and outcomes of each.  RVC has been a non-profit since 1985, but ironically it makes millions of dollars in venture capital investments, mostly through a partnership with the for-profit Rockies Venture Fund and Rockies Impact Fund.  This is a mutually beneficial partnership which provides a stronger approach to solving community challenges and increasing the outcomes for investors and entrepreneurs alike.

Our speakers at this event will help us to understand how these partnerships work and how we should think of them as investors and entrepreneurs.

We think you'll find it interesting and we'll all learn something!

Event is open to the public.
