Angel Investing 101 - Cleantech - Online

Introductory Investing Course for Cleantech

Have you ever been interested in investing in startups? Are you interested in investing in companies that have the potential to disrupt the energy and natural resource industry?

If yes, then you'll want to attend this course.

The Rockies Venture Club (RVC) is the largest angel investor group in Colorado, and has a new program, in partnership with CCIA, NREL, and OEDIT to educate and connect potential investors .

In this course we'll teach you the basics of investing in cleantech startups. This is an introductory course, so no prior education or experience is required.

The 4 hour course is a combination of hands-on exercises, working with experienced investor mentors, and toolkits that you'll need for successful angel investing.

Topics Covered Include:

  • How to "read" a pitch.  Find out what to look for in a great pitch and don’t get lured in by the entrepreneur’s excitement or an emotional hook.

  • Exit strategy canvas.  Learn the six things that smart investors know how to look for in a great exit strategy.  Remember - the exit is the only way Angels get their money back!

  • How to Value a pre-revenue company. Learn five methods to determine value and make sure you don’t pay too much (or too little).

  • Tax Implications - how can Angels take advantage of huge 100% tax breaks on capital gains?

  • How the cleantech industry is evolving and what to look for in an early stage company.

This is a four hour workshop, and you'll be engaged in interesting content and hands-on learning the whole time.

We invite any accredited individuals (a net-worth of $1,000,000+ or an income of $200,000+) to attend this event to learn more.
