Get Connected with RVC Volunteer Opportunities

Join the RVC team and become an RVC insider!

RVC Volunteers have inside connections to pitching companies, sponsors, mentors, professionals and investors.   If you have time and expertise, please consider signing up to help on one of the RVC teams!

Have a little time, have a lot of time?  It doesn’t matter – we have a job for you! RVC is planning it’s Colorado Capital Conference for this November and we already have keynotes, and locations wrapped up, but there’s still opportunity to help with many other areas.

The Angel Capital Summit is coming up next March and we’re already planning for some exciting new features including a state-wide university business plan competition, dozens of pitches, great workshops and more!

Marketing and PR:  This is a critical team to make RVC events a success.  Help get the word out, connect with strategic partner groups, use social media, email marketing, attend events and spread the word.

Sponsorship:  Connect with the movers and shakers who stand to benefit from a clear ROI by supporting the RVC community and its voracious need for legal, accounting, banking, insurance, marketing, software development, design, real-estate and other professional services.  RVC has unique and powerful programs to connect our sponsors to the people who need their services.

Pitch Mentors: RVC is revising and upgrading its pitch mentor program this year.  Did you ever notice how most incubators and accelerators have lots of mentoring up to the day of the pitch?  Then afterwards, everyone goes home.  At RVC we believe this is where the work begins and our mentoring program is designed to bring entrepreneurs all the way to closing the deal. Volunteer to mentor a company through the funding process!

Facilities and Logistics: This is the heart of putting on events.  RVC produces over 100 events every year and we need help with facilities, catering, name-tags, signage, and the myriad other details that go into putting on great event experiences for our community.

Speakers and Panels:  RVC is all about getting the industry thought leaders in front of the people who can put the most current stories and best practices to use.  Join the speakers and panels team to connect with Colorado’s top leaders in finance, tech, entrepreneurship, government and more.

Technology:  Events run on technology.  We need technology savvy volunteers to help with running twitter-feeds, projectors, switching computers/pitch decks, audio, lighting, wi-fi and more.

Screening and Reviewing:  RVC’s brand is focused on bringing the most venture-ready companies into the fold and providing them with top notch training and coaching in order to get the greatest percentage of companies funded as possible.  This all starts with the screening and reviewing team who sort through hundreds of applications and pick the most investment-worthy from the bunch.

Awards:  We’re proud to be a part of such a vibrant entrepreneurial community and we feel the need to recognize those who have contributed to our ecosystem.  For years the RVC has presented the Duane Pearsall Entrepreneurship award to top leaders in the community and this year we’re adding a few categories in order to thank those who contribute so much.  Join this team to meet with Colorado’s leaders and provide them the recognition that they deserve.

Volunteer Management:  Do you like working with people?  Volunteer managers coordinate the many roles in our complex events management process and make sure all the bases are covered.  Volunteer managers make sure that we have the day-of-event volunteers coordinated to help with registration, wayfinding, timing, announcing events and more.
