RVC October 2026 Investor Forum

Hosted at Foley & Lardner (1144 15th St Suite 2200, Denver, CO 80202)

RVC Investor Forums bring together accredited angel investors interested in fast-growing, early-stage companies in Colorado. These forums serve to pool the wisdom, expertise, and capital of many individual angels. At this forum, investor members will hear pitches, and afterwards the founders are excused and investors discuss the merits and risks of each venture. There is no requirement to invest and each investor has an opportunity to indicate interest in following or leading a specific deal. Both new and experienced investor members are welcome at forums -- this is the best way to learn hands-on about angel investing!

Presenting Companies

Aspero Medical, a Boulder, CO medical device company, is improving balloon-assisted endoscopy, the standard of care for diagnosing and treating small bowel disease, which is currently technically challenging and time-consuming because pressure limits needed to protect the intestinal wall reduce balloon anchoring. Its patented Pillar™ balloon overtube uses micro-textured surfaces to increase traction and, per company data, delivers more consistent anchoring force than latex and silicone balloons, enabling deeper scope access, shorter procedures with less sedation, and more complete exams on the first attempt. The company's first product, Ancora-SB, is FDA cleared.

Green Steel Environmental is a Colorado-based cleantech company helping wastewater treatment operators cut costs and improve sustainability with Green Steel PSR™, a safer, more sustainable alternative to the hazardous chemicals commonly used to remove phosphorus and sulfur from wastewater. The technology grew out of University of Colorado research using steel-manufacturing residuals, and was pilot tested at the City of Boulder's water resource recovery facility with results published in a peer-reviewed paper. The company began its first commercial-scale implementation in 2025, and in 2026 reported that lab-scale performance has been demonstrated at scale.

Maia is an AI medical coding and revenue cycle platform built for orthopaedic practices. We read the note, return the codes with the clinical justification behind them, and create the claim - live in athenahealth and eClinicalWorks, with customers including OrthoIndy and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
