Join Rockies Venture Club for Angel Investing 101 to learn how angel investing REALLY works and how angel investors REALLY think.  We’ll do some mythbusting and give the insider’s view from the longest running angel group in the U.S.A.

Angel investing is a team sport.  New angels who go it alone often make ten or more $25,000 investments before they figure it out.  That’s $250,000 to learn by trial and error.  RVC is focused on providing best in class angel education curriculum including our Exits Workshop that is used by the Angel Capital Association in their Angel University program. We’ll teach you how smart investors analyze deals. The pitch, the valuation, the term sheets, the proforma and capital stack projections, go to market strategies, regulatory issues, tax advantages for angels and yes, Exit Strategies.

The odds are stacked in smart angel investors’ favor.  Between 100% tax free returns, high return potentials over a portfolio, economic development incentives of 25-35%, and a thriving startup community - it’s a great asset class to master.

It’s not just about the money.  Angel investors love the community and learning about the latest technologies with peers who have expertise across many fields. Just working through diligence as a team is a lot of fun. Angels support high tech companies with high return potential, but most of them also have social and environmental benefits so that investors get positive impact along with their financial returns. 

Angel investors invest in the best deals across the country - but they’re often focusing on their own communities, building their towns and cities to be the kind of place they want to live in with great high paying jobs and economic development impact to help build great cities.

The Angel 101 workshop is just the beginning though. We will walk you through how everything works, and then you’ll be ready for our Angel Accelerator where we dig deep into the tools and processes of angel investing.

This session is open to both entrepreneurs seeking to learn more about how to secure angel investment and "angel-curious" investors who are in pursuit of the best early stage startup investment deal flow.
