Brian Tsuchiya from Vim Capital will provide you with an overview of the current crowdfunding environment in the US to help you decide if a Colorado direct public offer might be best for you to raise capital now.

This very special Crowdfunding Course will be held in collaboration with the Rockies Venture Club. Together we will discuss the implications of formally registering (with the government) to present your deal to investors publicly. Learn how angel investors will view your deal once you are registered with the Colorado State Government. We will also discuss the power of approaching angel groups after completing Form RL and SCOR with the Colorado Department of Securities.

We will teach you the basics of crowdfunding and the two registrations available in Colorado which upon approval will allow you to generally solicit, promote and advertise for investors. This is important, you could literally place an ad in the Denver Post asking people to attend a presentation where every person in the room could legally invest if they are a CO resident! We will also briefly cover Reg D 506 general solicitation.

This is the intent of the JOBS Act and crowdfunding, however this will not be available until next year at the earliest.
